COS - Social Share Images ("the App") provides automatic generation of social share images and Open Graph (OG) meta tags ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Personal Information the App Collects
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
- Store details — your store domain, store owner name, email address, and plan information, used to identify your account and operate the App.
- Product, collection, page, and content data — titles, descriptions, handles, and images, read in order to generate social share images for your store.
- Theme and online store data — read and updated as needed to add the Open Graph / social meta tags that make your shared links display correctly.
Additionally, as the App operates, our servers automatically record standard log data — IP address, browser type and user agent, referring pages, and date/time stamps — and may store and serve the share images the App generates for your store.
What the App does not collect: the App does not access, store, or process your customers' personal information, orders, checkout data, or payment details.
Cookies
Within the App's own interface we use strictly necessary cookies (session and security) to operate the Service. We do not use cookies for advertising.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the information we collect in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use it to:
- Generate, store, and serve social share images and meta tags for your store;
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App;
- Communicate with you, including for support and billing.
We do not use your information for behavioural or targeted advertising.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We share your information with third parties only to the extent necessary to provide the Service: with Shopify (the platform that powers your store) and with our hosting and infrastructure providers (used to run the App and to store and deliver the generated images). We may also share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or to respond to a lawful request for information.
Your Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected, updated, or deleted. To exercise this right, contact us using the details below. We process your information to fulfil our contract with you (providing the Service) and to pursue our legitimate business interests described above. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including where our hosting providers operate.
Data Retention
We retain the information described above for as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, we delete the store data and generated images associated with your account, except where we are required to retain information to comply with legal obligations.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
